We are looking for a high school in the USA for a student exchange.Our school is a public academic secondary school situated right in the heart of Frankfurt am Main and serves the educational needs of over 736,000 city residents. Approximately 1,100 students are enrolled in grades 5-12. The school traces its roots to the original academic high school of the city of Frankfurt established in 1520. In 1897 that school was split into modern and classical language secondary schools, the former of which became Goethe-Gymnasium Frankfurt. Languages are considered to be the key to the globalised world and of mutual understanding and tolerance. English, French, Latin, Japanese and Russian are taught at our school which currently offers exchange programs with England (Ingatestone), France (Lyon), India (New Delhi), Japan (Tokyo) and Russia (Moscow). There is an English bilingual program at our school. Starting in year seven, students in the English-bilingual program receive more challenging language instruction as well as taking two extra class hours of subject-matter instruction per week in English (History, Geography, Biology and Social Science). Our school is IB world school. In addition to the Abitur our students can earn the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB). We also offer a special program for music.
