Our school the BKSD (short for Berufskolleg Kaufmännische Schulen des Kreises Düren) is a vocational college in the mid-sized town Düren. There are about 2100 students and 120 teachers. The focus of our school is on business and administration. We offer full-time courses which lead, eg,, to A-Levels and also part-time courses for students who are doing an apprenticeship such as bankers, industrial management assistants and many more. All our students learn English and in some departments there is also the possibility of learning Spanish and French. We have successfully completed international projects with schools in the Netherlands, Belgium and France and are now ready for new contacts and ideas. Düren is situated in the west of Germany and very close to the Dutch and Belgian borders which means that we love going on daytrips to Brussels or Maastricht. The university towns of Aachen and Cologne are also close by. Many of our students come from the Eifel region, a very green rural area which is also part of the nationalpark Eifel. We are open for interesting ideas for future projects be it "in real life" once COVID19 is over, but also have the necessary equipment to do projects online.
