Hello, our school, the Heinrich-Heine-Gymnasium, is situated in Cologne, Germany. It was founded in 1974 and has now about 850 pupils, who attend the school from grade 5 to grade 12, respectively 13 - generally the students are between 10 and 18 years old. We're about 65 teachers. Natural sciences are taught as well as languages (English, Spanish, Latin, French, Italian) and arts. Another focus is placed on sports: apart from the regular sports lessons the pupils can take part in various afternoon activities like running, football, tennis etc. Also the area has a lot to offer: first of all the many different museums and churches in the old town of Cologne, various cultural events like concerts and plays, you can take beautiful ship tours on the Rhine or go walking in the nearby natural parks.It would be great if we could find a school (or more than one ;-)) to communicate with via e-mail, letter, Skype etc. and maybe even visit one day.
