Golden Valley School was founded in 1997 and is a community-family orientated K-12 educational institution. Through comprehensive and innovative education, we aim to shape well-rounded individuals who grow intellectually, socially, and spiritually.We have around 660 students who start their learning journey in Montessori at the age of 3 and graduate with the IB Diploma in grade 12. GVS differentiates itself through individual support, dedicated teachers, cooperative parents and a wide range of extracurricular activities and interdisciplinary projects that our students and community members’ access. Our school language is English and additionally students learn German starting in kindergarten. Golden Valley has two campuses. One, the larger one, is in Heredia and the other, a more recent addition, is in Alajuela. Both are in Costa Rica. Heredia, often referred to as "La Ciudad de las Flores" (The City of Flowers), is in the Central Valley of Costa Rica, nestled amidst mountains and lush green landscapes.
