The Clear Creek Amana School District covers over 250 square miles of beautiful eastern Iowa countryside, ranging from hills and woods to open farming. The total population of the district is about 12,000. The district is located 7 miles west of Iowa City and 20 miles south of Cedar Rapids. Both Interstates 80 and 380 pass through the district providing easy access to Des Moines (100 miles), Chicago (220 miles) and points beyond. The district serves 1,920 students preK-12 and is growing. The district operates 6 attendance centers with a high school in Tiffin (545 students 9-12), a middle school in Tiffin (388 students 6-8) and elementary centers in Tiffin (325 students PK-5) Middle Amana (150 students PK-5), North Liberty (400 students PK-5) and Oxford (437 students PK-5).

Suggestions for projects: Our current German language program for the 2017-2018 school year has approximately 130 students ranging from German 1 to German 4.We currently have a GAPP exchange program with Gottfried- Wilhelm Gymnasium in Perleberg only every other year. (Our current one is scheduled for the 2018-2019 school year; German students here in October and we travel to Germany in March).
Requests concerning your future partner school: We are looking for an exchange program for the opposite year of the current GAPP program that we are a part of. Similar to our current exchange, German students visiting the USA in October, and American students visiting Germany in mid- March. (This is when our spring break is.)
