The Gymnasium Buxtehude Süd is a secondary school in the suburbs of Hamburg, that teaches learners in grades 5 to 13. In grade 5, students have the opportunity to be part of a brass class. In intermediate level, in addition to regular classes, students are allowed to select a CLIL profile with the subjects biology, geography and physical education in English. Students learn English as a 1st foreign language at our school. In grade 6 they choose either French, Latin or Spanish and then have the opportunity to choose a 3rd foreign language from year 11 onwards. We see three important international exchange fields for us as a school:1. The CLIL profile has been integrated into the intermediate level for a long time. We would like to learn from other schools how the profile is integrated in the final classes.2. Currently, more and more Ukrainian students are part of our school community. How do other schools succeed in adequately supporting these students despite the great language barrier?3. . How can good teaching succeed in times of digitalization? We already have many colleagues who use iPads in class, how do we manage to inspire all colleagues for the use of digital media?We are therefore looking for partner schools and/or job shadowing offers to enable great exchange and to make contacts among the students.
