Kemer is one of the most famous and populated touristic destinations of Antalya, also a region where many people around the world visit initially for touristic purposes but later decide to move permanently as a family upon its nature and sea. Therefore, close to half of the students in our school has a family structure baring diverse nationalities. Accordingly, the mission, vision and the education of our school hold a multi-cultural view. Although lots of our students are of different cultures and from countries in Europe, they don’t face language or adaptation problems in school, and they have been integrated to our school’s order. Our school is located on the Mediterranean Coast, on the edge of the Taurus Mountains. It was founded in 2005-2006 academic year with the mission of educating high quality students who have critical thinking and problem solving abilities with creative minded. We aim to train students who can be professional in their fields, have world standard knowledge and qualification, follow the improvements in technology and science, have knowledge about different cultures, are successful at human affairs and communication. We have 1 director, 2 assistant directors, 28 teachers, 534 students and 3 staffs. Our school consists of a basement, 4 floors. It has 20 classrooms, 3 labs which are chemistry, science and biology, 1 gym, 1 auditorium, 1 library, 1 music class, 1 art class, 2 sport pitches and 2 table tennis rooms. We have the students in 9th and 10th grades who study compulsory and optional subjects. The students in 11th and 12th grades choose fields according to their abilities. English and Germany are taught as foreign languages. Besides, we have a lot of social activities such as visiting historical places, joining book fairs, visiting leukaemia patients in hospitals and special children in rehabilitation center regularly, giving concerts for national days. Also, we have worldwide sportive success. For instance one of our students became the World Champion in the field of Karate in Chile in 2019. Our KAL Baseball Team won 3rd degree in Turkey. We desire to take part in student and personal mobility programs in European Community and we plan our students involve in training course mobility in EC countries within the projects.
