Our school, Teke Secondary School, of 335 students and 16 teachers, is in a small village called Teke (means Ziege in German). Our village and our city Şırnak is in the south-east of Turkey which is the most underprivileged region of our country. There is an airport called NKT in the city which is 30 minutes away to our village. Our city is famous for its historical places such as Assyrian churches, houses and wine cellars. There is canyon called "Cehennem Deresi" which is believed to be the world's most dangerous canyon and I think every human being should see it once in their life time. There is a village called "Mağara Köy" in which everyone in the village lives in the caves in this day and age. These are only a few places that comes to my mind and I came to this place ony a few months ago, there are lots of places I haven't seen yet,but rest assured when you come to here our people gladly will give you the best time of your lifes. Our city is also inside the region of Mesopotamia, which is a historical region of Western Asia situated within the Tigris–Euphrates river system. A future student exchange program would be bilaterally a learning experience for the children of both parties. I hope you find it in your heart to choose our school for the student exchange program. We could imagine almost any kind of exchange and of course that we would also conform to your ideas and wishes. Do not hesitate to contact us, because it will be with great pleasure that we will answer you. And lastly and maybe most importantly we will be provided up to 5000 Euros for our expenses by the Jugendbrücke Project. We are looking forward to hear from you soon!
