The Affiliated Zhongli Senior High School of National Central University
Staat: Taiwan
Stadt: Taoyuan

The Affiliated Zhongli Senior High School of National Central University (widely known as CLHS), founded in 1938, used to be a shrine in Japanese Colonial Period. With such background, there are many historic monuments seated in the different corners on campus. One of the most famous cultural relics is the Bronze Horse, which can be seen at the first sight when entering the school. It is not only a spiritual symbol but an important mascot for CLHS. As one of the most prestigious public schools in Taoyuan, CLHS provides a beautiful and spacious environment for students to enjoy their high school lives. The school motto of CLHS contains four important elements—Loyalty, Morality, Perseverance, and Courtesy—which are also the expectation for students in CLHS. Composed of three grades and twenty classes in each grade, CLHS has approximately a faculty of around 120 teachers and 2600 students. The school day typically starts from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.. Famous for dimensional education development, CLHS offers special classes for students talented in math/science, langagues, or music. More than a school title, CLHS also represents the following four educational objectives-Creativity, Linguistic intelligence, High-scope vision and Sociability. To achieve these goals, the school has developed various courses accordingly. With nearly forty different kinds of courses for students in each grade to learn and choose, CLHS hopes to foster students with dimensional abilities. As for gifted classes, the school deepens their learning based on their advantages and encourages them to participate in academic contests so as to enrich their own learning experiences. Besides academic development, CLHS values extracurricular activities as well. Designing activities based on the school moto, CLHS expects students to put the motto into practice. For loyalty and morality, the school holds different sports competition and a cheerleading contest, which enables students to realize the value of cooperation and to strengthen their loyalty to the class. To foster students’ perseverance, CLHS conducts road running annually. For courtesy, the school designs a series of activities for students to appreciate teachers in a creative and sincere way in late September before Teacher’s Day. With the abundant academic resources and various activities, CLHS provides every single student with holistic education to meet the lives of living as well as academics.
