We, the Kaethe-Kollwitz-Gymnasium, are a secondary school situated in Zwickau in the heart of Saxony. (http://www.kkg-zwickau.de)At our school about 700 students aged 10-19 prepare for university. They are taught by 55 teachers. We, an UNESCO school, have been a member of GAPP for a long time, but due to the retirement of our American colleague we cannot prolong our school partnership. That is why we are looking for a new partner school for participating in a GAPP-exchange. We have excellent experiences in having an exchange with a group of about 15 students and two teachers every two years. Zwickau is well-known for its car industry especially for the production of the Volkswagen. For a long time we used to have coal mining. We also have a University of Applied Sciences. Additionally, the composer Robert Schumann and the painter Max Pechstein were born here. Not far from our city you can find big cities like Dresden and Leipzig. We could imagine doing projects in the fields of car industry, culture, sport, music, art or the history of coal mining and many more.
