The "Gemeinschaftsschule Leutenbach" is an inter-denominational, multi-cultural and inclusive secondary school which is located in the near of Stuttgart, the heart of Germany. Together with our primary school we count more than 400 students from various ethnical backgrounds who learn English as their first foreign language starting in first grade and after that they can choose French in sixth grade. Based on our motto that everyone is able to do something, students and the 34 teacher work together and support each other. We would like to support our students to broaden their horizon during their time at the secondary school not only in terms of subject matters, but also in terms of socio- and intercultural competences.Currently we are still in the setting up and have students up to grade 8. Our students start learning English from 1st grade on and we would like to establish a regular student exchange partnership with a school in Europe which teaches e.g. German as a foreign language so that English and German would be used equally by the students.
