At Albert-Schweitzer-Gymnasium Kaiserslautern we have an enrollment of close to 900 students in grades 5-13. Approximately 70 teachers work at the school. The “ASG” is over 200 years old and has thus a strong tradition of high academic standards. We are a typical German “Gymnasium”, offering a wide variety of language programs (English, French, Spanish, Latin, Greek) while also putting an emphasis on music and science. Our students are very reliable, independent and are the heart of our vibrant school community. The city of Kaiserslautern has a population of about 100,000 and is an active city surrounded by beautiful nature. “K-Town” is also host to the largest US military community outside the United States, so we have a tradition of friendly ties to the US. We are looking to expand and substantiate this friendship and are therefore looking for a partner school in the United States which is interested in establishing an exchange program with us. Without a doubt, this would offer an outstanding, character-building learning opportunity from which both our student bodies could greatly benefit.
