We are a high school in Dortmund with about 900 students. Phoenix-Gymnasium offers its students a variety of additional projects apart from the curriculum. Sports and science, language learning and school partnerships are an important part of our school life. We have school exchanges with high schools in France, Italy and Israel and want to reinstall a school exchange with an American high school as we had it some years ago for decades. We are interested in a long-term relationship. Our school is located directly at an urban lake in a pleasant suburb of Dortmund which is a large and very green city in the Ruhr-area. The city has changed from coal and steel industry into a service based society. The area has to offer an enormous number of sights and places for whatever project you might think about.
