Matthayom Watnairong School is secondary level school with students grade 7 - 12. School opened in the year 1955. It began its humble beginnings in the hall way of the Nairong temple. Later on, the school moved into its own building constructed on a piece of land between the temples of Wat Nairong and Wat Bangbumru. The land was donated by Wat Nairong or Chao Grub, the owner of the theatre which performed the ancient play Lakorn Nok. Besides offering one of the best English Programs (EP) in Bangkok since the year 2002, the school also offers the Mini-English Program (MEP) and the Integrated English Program (IEP) or English for Integrated Studies (EIS). The Director, Mrs. Wanthana Chauchaui commitment towards upgrading the standard of English amongst Thai students, advocates with passion and pride the English in Integrated Studies (EIS) programs throughout the Kingdom of Thailand. Matthayom Watnairong School also organized the 1st Nairong International Students’ Conference 2015, the 2nd and the 3rd Nairong International Students’ Conference 2017 and the 4th Nairong International Students’ Conference 2018 with the objective of strengthening the networking between Thai students and international students throughout the world. There is so much that Thai and international students can learn from one another and this conference will provide a platform for the exchange of experiences and perspectives related to global issues. In the present borderless world, for students to concentrate only on the academics is inadequate but to have students learn, acquire and sharpen soft skills is of absolute necessity, thus preparing themselves to succeed in college, university and beyond.
