The St. Angela Highschool is a school that is rich in tradition.The school was founded by the katholic Order of the Ursulines and is traditionally as a private school focused on the education of girls. Since 2017 the school has also established boys classes and is conducting classes in parallel monoeducation to provide individual support for the educational needs of boys and girls.Since 2018 the school was also certified as MINT-friendly-school by the ministry of education for its promotion of sciences and participation in science projects and competitions.The school ist also cooperating with the nearby reasearch facility of Juelich and the RWTH- elite university of Aachen.Since 2020 the school tries to incorporate aspects of japanese culture in the schoollife. The students can learn the basics of japanese language and culture in a special class and a club for students interested in japanese culture was established.In the future the school is also planning to incorporate Kendo in the schools sports programm.For this reason the school is looking for a partnerschool in japan to give the stundens an opportunity to expand their knowledge about japanese culture and to Exchange thoughts about projects and education in science.
