The Georg-Buechner-Gymnasium, which was founded in 1968, is located in Letter, a part of the city of Seelze, which is west of Hanover (the federal capital of Lower Saxony). The GBG is a relatively large school with around 1400 pupils and around 120 teachers. It is one of our targets to offer a learning environment in which pupils learn skills which are based on their living environment and which enable them to take social responsibility. We have exchanges with Poland, France and South Korea and would be very happy about a new partner school in the UK, US or Ireland for exchange visits each year of around 16 to 20 pupils aged 15 to 16.
