The school is the hub for British Council examinations in the Paphos District. In 2019, it was chosen to become a member of the PASCH-school community. ISOP has the greatest number of pupils learning German as a foreign language in Cyprus.Furthermore, the school is a centre for the ECDL, recognised by CEPIS as well as an examination centre for the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). For many years, our students have successfully participated in the world's leading youth achievement programme, the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. Due to our ongoing commitment to protecting the environment, we are also a registered ECO School. In September 2019, ISOP opened its new, purpose-built boarding house, which is open for both permanent and temporary boarding. The school lies on the outskirts of Paphos, a picturesque town on the West coast of Cyprus. Paphos is easily accessible from abroad, as it has its own airport. It offers a great variety of activities and points of interest. Paphos is home to several world heritage sites and boasts historical, archaeological and natural attractions. In 2017, the town was Cultural Capital of Europe. The climate is Mediterranean - very sunny with mild winters - allowing for outdoor activities, including watersports, throughout the year. Paphos has a relaxed sea-side atmosphere, with both the Akamas peninsula and the Troodos mountains close enough to enjoy different landscapes and aspects of the country as well.
